How do I take a screen print?

There are two ways to take a snapshot of your screen: via keyboard shortcuts or Snipping Tool.

Keyboard shortcuts

  1. To take a full-screen snapshot, press the Print Screen keyboard key.
  2. To take a snapshot of a window, click on the current window and press the Alt + Print Screen keyboard key.
  3. The image is then stored in the clipboard and can be pasted into, eg. a Word document or an Outlook mail by pressing Ctrl + V.

Snipping Tool

Click on Start (1).

Search for Snipping Tool (2) and open the program Snipping Tool (3).

Click the arrow next to the "Mode" button (4) and select the type of snapshot you want to take. Click New to take the snapshot (5).

You can then choose to process the image in three ways:

  • Save the snapshot as an image file (6).
  • Copy the snapshot to clipboard. Paste the image by pressing Ctrl + V (7).
  • Send the snapshot to a mail recipient (8).
