How do I upgrade my Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro?
Before you get started, make sure you have a product key. It looks like this: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
Open Settings
Click on the Windows icon (1) in the taskbar.
Open Settings (2)
Go to Activation Settings
Click on System (3) at the menu to the left.
Scroll down and click on Activation (4)
Change product key
Click on Change (5) next to change product key.
Enter your Windows 11 Pro product key in the pop up box (6). This is a code that has been sent to you in a separate E-Mail and it looks like this: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX. If you do not have a product key please contact IT Forum Gruppen.
Click Next (7)
Follow the Instructions to Complete the Upgrade
Windows will now check your product key. If the key is correct, Windows will start the upgrade.
Wait a few minutes for the upgrade to install. Your computer might restart automatically.
Check that the Upgrade Worked
After your computer restarts, go back to Settings > System (8) > About (9)
Verify that it now shows Windows 11 Pro (10).
Now you’re all done! Your computer is upgraded to Windows 11 Pro.
